“Pearson is pleased to announce the Emerging Pedagogies Research and Travel Grant, open to graduate students in the fields of Composition, Rhetoric, and Business and Technical Communication and to adjunct faculty teaching Composition courses. Up to ten grants will be awarded. Sarah Austin, Vani Kannon, and Megan Lemming have been named winners of the “English Department Graduate Student Professional Development in Composition & Writing Theory and Pedagogy Travel Funding” for Spring 2013.
Nancy Henke was awarded a Professional Equity Project (PEP) grant from the Conference on College Composition and Communication to attend their 2013 convention in Las Vegas.
Ed Lessor, Katie Hoffman, and Sarah Hart were awarded support from the STF/STA Professional Development Funds (which are supported by proceeds from sales of ISM and RRAW textbooks) to travel to College Composition and Communication in 2013. Nancy Henke was awarded funds to travel to the 2013 Writing Program Administrators Conference.
