Todd Mitchell’s young adult novel, Backwards, was released by Candlewick Press on Tuesday. The book is available in hardcover, ebook, and audio book formats (read by the actor, Nick Podehl).
A radio interview with Todd aired this week on KUNC, about Backwards and why he wrote it. If you’d like to listen to the interview (it’s short), you can find a link on his website, www.ToddMitchellBooks.com. There you’ll also find a link to a book trailer that was made with the help of Timothy David Orme (award-winning filmmaker and MFA poetry alum) and Kari Lennartson (artist and past CSU painting instructor).
Todd is doing two book launch/reading events next week for Backwards. On Thursday, October 17th, 7:30 pm, he’ll be reading with Camille Dungy as part of the Writer’s Harvest Benefit reading (Hatton gallery). Please bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the Food Bank.
And on Saturday, October 19th, 4:00 pm, Todd will be giving a short reading and book launch celebration at Anthology Bookstore, in downtown Loveland, 422 E. 4th St. Both events are free and open to the public, so please encourage your students to attend.
